Great for Interoperability Between HP and Cisco devices

I have finished 30% of the book till now and so far I think this book is great, it gives you the information about Cisco, HP A series and HP E series for the different protocols and how they inter-operate theoretically and with examples, along with that it gives you what NOT to do which is the best part since you will be 100% be able to eliminate any issues when implementing mixed network, gr8 way for delivering the information and gr8 quizes at the end of each chapter which helps confirming what to do and what not to do when configuring a specific feature, also I have to mention that it tells you what is the default operation state for each protocol in Cisco & HP A & E series.
The only negative think is that I found till now 1 wrong answer mentioned on page 182 Question 9 answer B is wrong and it should be answer C (confirmed from the manual about the correct command) it is not a big mistake maybe mistyping ;), and another answer for question 13 on the same page where they mentioned that answer e is not correct which can be correct if they are talking about Cisco device since they didn't mentioned which switch this question is applicable for (HP or Cisco) as they always mention in the other questions, will have to wait till I finish the whole book to see if there are other mistakes.
I would recommend getting this book not only to prepare for the exam but also as a reference, it is the only official interoperability book out there (which i know about) that has almost everything (protocols, default settings, config) mentioned for the things to work between Cisco and HP and you will not have to search for any thing else in the web.

HP course - Designing and Troubleshooting Open Standard Networks.

With lot of useful diagrams, flowcharts and figures book material becomes easier for understanding and learning especially for complex topic, very helpful. Configuration samples provided with detailed comments saves student's time and improve overall book material quality.
Book deeps into complex networking concepts, topics and technologies - which is necessary for right network design and is critical for troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting scenarios look like from real life and give the student really valuable knowledge comparing with practical experience especially on the networks mixed with Cisco equipment.
Chapter test preparation questions (and the Sample Test of 70+ questions at the end of the book) look really helpful for self-testing and give you a feeling of real tests which you will go through on an exam.
Overall this book seems to be enough to get the complete set of knowledge necessary to pass the exam.

This book has so many errors in it

I hardly ever write a review, but this book is poorly written. I'm not English major, but I have found so many mistakes that it is just frustrating to read. Yes, it does have some good information, but the amount of mistakes make it rather discouraging to read. Furthermore, if I wasn't already a CCNP, I would find this book rather hard to follow. I have no clue why people are rating this a 5 star product. It is far far from something perfect. Some simple observations:
-The figures and diagrams are hard to read
-The amount of typos are ridiculous
-Some answer definitions have nothing to do with the question (I'm looking at you Chapter 10 Question #13)
When the book comes with a full page errata, buyer beware. Luckily, my company paid for this and i only need it to obtain the ASE cert.
