Just as medical students study anatomy, artists also need to study human anatomy. Artist's anatomy is different from medical anatomy. Artist's anatomy is also quite complex and requires time for studies.
Body movements for each plane aspect, musculature, and bone structure are demonstrated for each part of the body with included movements. In All About Anatomy, bone structure and human musculature are easier to grasp and understand than in almost any other such book.
Synthesizing anatomy into a unified whole and anatomy in practice sections of the book then create a basis on which the artist develops graphic and pictorial art. Barron's All About Anatomy For The Artist is well recommended for its profound knowledge.

I agree. This is a very good book. It gives an effective understanding of the human figure in a clear systematic fashion. It provides working
principles of bones and muscles combined, be it in detail or as a whole, nicely. Moreover, I usually keep it somewhere on my desk for a quick
reference.

Excellent for reference material for life drawing.

This book is not huge but contains very clear and well drawn explaination of the body exterior and interior. An added advantage is the drawings of actual poses which was useful in our life drawing class. I highly recommend this bood for artists who are interested in drawing the human body.
